The ‘Bidyarthi’ mobile application, developed by the Examination & Training (ET) Branch of the Directorate of Secondary Education in Assam, represents a significant advancement in supporting secondary-level students seeking scholarship opportunities in the state. This application features an array of tools designed to assist students wishing to navigate the complexities of scholarship applications.

Currently, the Directorate oversees two prominent National-level Scholarship Examinations: the National Talent Search (NTS) Exam and the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Exam. These examinations were established through initiatives by NCERT and MHRD, under the Government of India. The ‘Bidyarthi’ app seeks to streamline access to essential information, providing users with updates on advertisements, online application processes, e-admit cards, result announcements, and previous years’ question papers. Additionally, students can directly apply for these scholarships within the app.

Furthermore, the application aims to disseminate vital information regarding various schemes administered by both the state and the central government. This consolidation of resources stands to enhance student engagement and success in pursuing educational financial support.
